Program: (tour sequence may vary)

• Departure by 4X4 jeep to reach the town of Mayari. Admire varied landscapes along the way.
• Get into the Mensura National Park, a nature reserve in the Sierra Cristal (Cristal Mountains).
• Take mountain roads up to the Salto del Guayabo, one of Cuba's highest waterfalls. Trails through the tropical forest with pine trees and dozens of orchid and fern species lead to a Mirador (lookout) for spectacular views of the waterfall and landscape. Over 140 bird species have made these forests their home, including Cuba's national bird, the "Tocororo".
• Visit a peasant's house, and coffee plantations in the mountains.
• Continue to the Villa Pinares de Mayari eco-lodge nested in extensive pine forests. Enjoy a typical lunch with the first drink included.
• Admire the landscape of the Pinares de Mayari plateau on the trip back.

Suggestions on what to wear and bring:
Comfortable shoes and wear, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, bottled water, toilet paper, camera, cash in small denominations for souvenirs, drinks and tips.

Notes:
- Not suitable for people with reduced mobility and people in wheelchairs.
- Minimum age to drive is 18 years. Driver's license required (only for jeep driver). The jeeps have standard transmission
- This tour is not available from Playa Covarrubias hotels.
