Program: (tour sequence may vary)
- Head first to the town of Rafael Freyre where you'll do a short ride through the countryside aboard a steam engine train from the 19th century departing from a former sugar factory.
- Arrive in the fishing community of Gibara, also known as "La Villa Blanca" (white town). Gibara is a pleasant town with an “off-the-beaten-track” vibe and friendly and welcoming inhabitants.
- Visit to the museum of Natural Sciences of Gibara.
- Visit to a Cigar Factory.
- Free time for walking and enjoying the local architecture, historical monuments and city life.
- Enjoy a typical cuban lunch at the El Faro restaurant
- Go to the Punta de Yarey lookout to enjoy stunning views of the town and bay.
Suggestions on what to wear and bring:
Comfortable shoes and wear, hat, sunscreen, bottled water, camera, cash in small denominations for souvenirs, drinks and tips.
Notes:
- Not suitable for people in wheelchairs.
- It is forbidden to take pictures inside the cigar factory.
- This tour is not available from Playa Covarrubias hotels.
